Salisbury Racecourse may look nice and harmless to the untrained eye, due to its friendly atmosphere and lovely Whiltshire setting. Horse racing has been staged in the Salisbury area since the early 1600s, making Salisbury Racecourse one of the oldest race tracks in Great Britain. This historical flair is complemented by the patronage of the Bibury Club, established in 1681, the oldest racing club in the world. Since 1899 the Bibury Club has kept an eye on the goings on at Salisbury Racecourse, even lending its name to the annual Bibury Handicap.
Until this day Salisbury Racecourse stages around 16 race days every year, as well as special events days. It is the perfect place to check out some valid horse racing in a historical setting.

A ticket to the Bibury enclosure will allow you to visit all enclosures. Should you feel like a sit-down meal, the Bibury enclosure offers the Moonraker Restaurant and the Conservatory Restaurant.
Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure: This are, previously known as 'Tattersalls' invites you to check out the racing talent on the Parade Ring prior to racing, as well as glimpses of the winner in the post-race winner's enclosure. For only £11 per person it offers multiple bars and betting facilities, as well as a beer tent on busy feature days.
Course Enclosure: If you are looking for a fun day out with the family, this enclosure is the way to go. The location of the frequently available children's entertainment encourages you to settle down for a picnic and make use of the betting facilities. Alcoholic drinks and soft drinks are available in this enclosure.
