Killarney Races

Killarney Racecourse is a sharp, left-handed Irish horse racing venue in County Kerry.

This track is home to both National Hunt and flat races between May and October, but there isn’t a lot of high-profile action over jumps or on the level. A lap of this flat course is about a mile-and-a-quarter, and is more triangular than oval in shape.

The fences for steeplechases like the Killarney National aren’t too stiff. The most popular Killarney races are those at their summer festivals in May, July and August.

Killarney Racecourse Behind Closed Doors

Killarney races are currently being run behind closed doors because of the ongoing COVID-19 situation. This is set to be reviewed and updated in line with government advice, with Killarney Racecourse keen to welcome back punters as soon as it is safe to do so.

It’s still worth checking Killarney races fixtures because the decision to allow spectators in could change. If you book tickets to a Killarney Racecourse event that is then moved to behind closed doors, refunds will be processed through the official course website.
