Punchestown Racecourse is one of the major horse racing tracks in the Republic of Ireland. The right-handed undulating track close to Naas and 22 miles southwest of Dublin is predominantly used for National Hunt racing.
Punchestown races are run on one of three courses. The inner track is the tightest with a circuit of about a mile-and-three-quarters, while the outer is used for steeplechases and a lap is roughly two miles. There is also a banks course for cross country races.
Only Leopardstown boasts more Grade 1 races in Ireland than Punchestown Racecourse, which is home to the eponymous five-day Festival in the spring that ends the jumps season.
