Catterick Racecourse, sometimes called Catterick Bridge, is a left-handed, oval-shaped British horse racing venue in North Yorkshire. With two undulating tracks, there are Catterick race fixtures for both flat and National Hunt during the year.
The flat course is the sharper of the two and on the inside, with a complete circuit just over a mile long. The jumps track, meanwhile, is on the outside and more than a mile-and-a-quarter for a full lap. Whichever course a horse is running on, Catterick races favour handy types. The big race here is the North Yorkshire Grand National, a staying handicap chase over three-and-three-quarter miles in January.
