Moviesta Well on Track for York

Sprint Champion Moviesta is well on his way to the top and has the backing of trainer Bryan Smart, who reported the three-year-old to be in good form in the lead up to the Group One Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes at York on August 23.

Owned by Will Salthouse, Ritchie Fiddes and Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp, Moviesta has easily been one of the season’s major success stories following victories in most starts, including a memorable success in the Group Two King George Stakes at Glorious Goodwood.

Trainer Smart commented on what is set to be Moviesta’s toughest test to date at York.

“Moviesta has come out of the Goodwood race in good order. He will be going for Coolmore Nunthorpe, all being well”.

“He is a three-year-old against older horses at York, but he did it well at Goodwood. A repeat would be fantastic.

“He is already a winner at York and was also second there, so he seems to like the track. We are looking forward to it” Smart said recently.

Smart continued on in regards to Moviesta’s famous part-owner and the likelihood of an appearance at the Coolmore Nunthorpe.

“Harry has been a very loyal owner for a long time; it is nice to have a good one for him”.

“Hopefully, he will be able to make York with a bit of luck. It would be nice for him to come up and see the horse; he’ never seen him run yet”.

The race is sure to throw up a few surprises, exhibiting a completely packed-out field.

Moviesta could not have had a better run towards the race and will surely be mixing it with the leaders in the final stages.
