Cambridgeshire Meeting 2010 – Betting Specials

The Cambridgeshire Meeting is finally underway and Bet365 is offering their infamous 4-1 Promotion on two of the Cambridgeshire fixtures this afternoon. If you feel like winning free bets on top of your pay-outs, this is definitely the way to go with your Cambridgeshire Meeting bets this week.

If you have not hear of Bet365’s 4-1 Promotion, here is how it works: Every day Bet365 selects two fixtures of the day’s race card to be part of this horse betting special. If you bet on one of the selected races and your selection wins at odds of 4-1 or longer, you receive a free bet matching your original stake on the next selected race, whether it is on the same day or the next.
However, that is not the end of this amazing horse betting special: if your selection on the free bet wins at odds of 4-1 or longer, you get yet another free bet of matching stake in the next race – and so on. This means you can keep betting for free as long as you keep picking winners at Bet365.

Today’s selected races from the Cambridgeshire Meeting race card are:

Newsells Park Stud Golden Bonus Rous Stakes – 4.20pm – Newmarket Racecourse

This Class 1 event over five furlongs features ten exciting runners over the age of three who compete for the £19,870 awarded by this Listed race.

The field is led by favourite Hamish McGonagall, a five-year-old gelding training with Ted Easterby. A veteran of 37 professional races, this great runner has collected seven wins, seven runner-ups and four third places throughout his career. His most recent victory was achieved in the Symphony Group Handicap at York in August. Hamish McGonagall will be running under his regular jockey D. Allen in his appearance at the Cambridgeshire Meeting this afternoon. He is priced 3-1 by Bet365.

Second favourite is Golden Destiny from the stables of Paul Makin. This four-year-old filly has scored second place in her past three consecutive races and can definitely hold her own with her male colleagues. Currently priced 11-4 by Bet365, Golden Destiny is chasing her sixth career win. Her jockey has not yet been announced.

Racing UK Sky 432 Handicap – 5.30pm – Newmarket Racecourse

This race over one mile is classified Class 3 and will be a battle between 17 thoroughbred runners aged three and older.

Race favourite is three-year-old Parvaaz from the stables of Mark Jarvis. The colt has won his last three consecutive races and appears to have hit his stride this season. His most recent victory in the Racing South Africa Handicap at Newmarket saw Parvaaz race to a 1 ¾ win under Paul Robinson. At the Cambridgeshire Meeting this afternoon, Parvaaz – priced 5-1 by Bet365 – will be racing under champion jockey Frankie Dettori, who rode a winning race on the colt at Kempton earlier this month.
Credit Swap and Kindest are sharing second place at odds of 7-1.
Kindest won her last appearance at Newmarket over one mile exactly; Credit Swap ran home first in the Sea-deer Handicap at Yarmouth two weeks ago. Both runners seem in fine shape and may well leave their mark on this year’s Cambridgeshire Meeting.
