2,000 Guineas Stakes Preview– Newmarket Awaits
Because the British Classic Races and the StanJames.com Guineas Festival are simply too exciting, it felt like one last odds and jockeys update was in order before the big day tomorrow.
Race favourite St. Nicholas Abbey has finally found a rider in champion jockey Johnny Murtagh, who will take charge of the three-year-old for Aidan O’Brien.
With nineteen confirmed runners the field is looking slimmer than it did 24 hours ago. Outsider Arry’s Orse was withdrawn from the race, along with Poet’s Voice and Free Judgement. Aptly named underdog Audacity Of Hope remains on the race card and is set to be piloted by Jamie Spencer.
The odds for tomorrow’s big race are provided by William Hill (WH) and the race sponsor Stan James (SJ), they are current as of 30th April.
