Trained at the same stable by champion-producing Paul Nicholls, ten-year-olds Denman and Kauto Star are sure to go head to head at their upcoming showdown. Since Kauto Star’s Gold Cup Win in 2007 the stable mates have been handing the crown back and forth; with Denman triumphing at Cheltenham in 2008, only to see Kauto Star reclaiming his Gold Cup glory in a spectacular 2009 victory.
This year sees Kauto Star defending his title, attempting to win his third Cheltenham Gold Cup, with Denman hot at his heels, keen to take back the laurels he was passed over last year.
