Jim Crowley did an outstanding job guiding Credit Swap through the Cambridgeshire Handicap. Keeping his mount steady at the rear on the far side, Crowley bid his time, waiting for a convenient opening in the field of leaders.

For the most part of the Cambridgeshire Handicap the far side of the field was led by Camerooney under Will Carson, followed closely by Tagleed. While there was action alongside the rail, the far side was definitely travelling better behind their relentless pacemaker Camerooney.

It was not until the final two furlongs of the Cambridgeshire Handicap that the solid front of the far side field began to break and compete for the lead. Steele Tango and Pires were both travelling strong, when Crowley spotted the perfect opening and allowed Credit Swap to unleash his full power. The gelding sprinted ahead and made it first across the line by just under one length.

Trainer Wigham has not yet announced his new favourite runner’s next start, but we can be confident that Credit Swap will be giving many more hot performances over the next months. Horse Racing UK will keep you up to date with this great thoroughbred’s next career moves.
